Our Saratoga Fine Art blog will focus on 19th and 20th Century American fine art. We have scheduled a monthly blog to start in January 2025.
In the future we will write our impressions about the Hudson River School, American 19th and 20th century art, the art market, as well as discussing tips for purchasing and selling fine art. We will post outside opinions from fine art dealers, restorers, scholars, appraisers, and collectors.
We actively invite other professionals and American art enthusiasts to offer suggestions and feedback about our blogs, and about future blog ideas to pursue. Please sign up or check back to see the latest posts.
Our first four topics:
The Hudson River School landscape artists - planting the seeds for the
nature conservation movement in the 19th century (Part I)
The Hudson River School landscape artists --- Our national and state parks and the conservation initiatives of the 19th century (Part II)
10 things to keep in mind when purchasing or selling fine art – Steps we use when doing due diligence on fine art.
The Woodstock Artist Colony (1912- 2025) – Rhythm, Color, Music, Theater, and Rock and Roll.
Please feel free to offer suggestions, criticisms, additions and your observations on any of the subjects via email, or in our comments section. Once we update the site, we will offer a registered comments area.
